Safe access into a jig primary crusher apron feeder

We were appointed to design a solution for safe access to the feeder.

Our team’s solution was for a retractable walkway that slides through a hatch on the front of the chute. The walkway moves in and out of position using a manually cranked chain and sprocket system.

Maintenance can be conducted safely within the feeder when the walkway is in position and secured.
