Peru: Air Curtain Project

The client, Anglo American Quellaveco Mine, approached us to design a PSA crusher air ducting system for a mine in South America. The network of ducting had to supply positive airflow over the equipment/instrument and the lights and scanners that prevents dust from accumulating on the lenses, usually prolonging physical wiping of the lenses by hand.

Our Draughtsmen supported the design Engineer by modelling the plant and routing the duct through existing steelwork at the crusher.

JAD's competent engineers did the simulations to get the best ducting size and configurations to suit our clients' specifications. We also did a thermo-hydraulic system simulation, beam loading design, and bracket design. Our drawing office assisted by adding additional steel support and brackets for fans and ducting throughout the crusher structure.

Lastly, we developed a complete set of manufacturing drawings for manufacturers in Peru. Exceptional work done by the JAD design office!
