Our client contacted us for the design of the lamella frame/basket. The first step was to do a structural assessment of statuary components with first-principle calculations under the Occupational Health & Safety Act. We then manufactured some detailed drawings, forming part of the final scope of work.
Lamella clarifiers are ideal for applications where the solids (slurry) loading is variable, and solids sizing is fine. They are more common than conventional clarifiers due to their small footprint.
With efficiency and teamwork from our engineers, only a few concept designs were needed to get to a workable solution.
