A Maintenance Frame For Sishen Iron Ore

Our client was doing maintenance on their DMS crusher shafts. Because no work under a suspended load is allowed, we had to develop a concept design where maintenance could proceed without endangering the artisan.

We designed a platform that can accommodate three different sizes of eccentric shafts - 110t, 70t, and 13t. For the small 13t shaft, we added an insert frame that makes it possible to lower the shaft for access from the floor.

Incorporated into this design is a platform to work on the bottom part of the shaft and a trolley to handle the 300kg thrust bearing on the bottom of the shaft.

Working as a team, our engineers and drawing department came up with this great solution to meet our client's needs.

Some pictures after the manufacturing phase of this project.
